In this role, you will be responsible for delivering seamless upgrades to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), and Unity Connection (CUC), along with associated VMware ESXi infrastructure.This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact upgrade projects in a global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure stability, security, and minimal service disruption.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform upgrades of CUCM, UCCX, and CUC from version 12.5 to 15.4Execute VMware ESXi upgrades from versions 6.5 and 7.0 to 8.0Complete all pre-upgrade activities, including:Change submissions and approvalsDetailed implementation and rollback plansTechnical documentation and validation checklistsCoordinate with global teams to plan and execute upgrade windows with minimal business impactTroubleshoot and resolve issues during and after upgrade activitiesEnsure compliance with company standards, security policies, and best practicesProvide post-upgrade stabilization and hypercare support, including system optimizationRequired QualificationsProven, hands-on experience upgrading CUCM, UCCX, and CUC environmentsDemonstrated experience upgrading VMware ESXi from 6.5/7.0 to 8.0Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsClear and effective written and verbal communication skillsCCNA certificationPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting global or enterprise-scale environments, including rotating or after-hours coverageComfortable working in remote and distributed team environmentsCCNP Collaboration (or equivalent hands-on experience) with Cisco UC technologiesFamiliarity with ITIL or structured change management practicesExperience with large enterprise UC deployments, including multi-cluster and multi-site architecturesWhy JoinWork on high-visibility Cisco UC upgrade initiativesGain exposure to latest Cisco UC and VMware technologiesCollaborate with experienced engineers across regionsMake a direct impact on global communication reliability
